“Tell us our name”
Material: textile and wood
8” × 7” × 7”
About the Work
The objective of this piece is to provoke an individual’s personal conviction about the issue of homelessness through the means of physical interaction. Via the insertion of light into volumes, iconic symbols that illustrate our subconscious ideals of home appear. These are objects of little to no aesthetic desire, but which prompt desire in the act of the exploration of, and participation in, the piece. Through this act, the user consciously chooses to consider homelessness itself.
