About the Work
When asked to list the basic necessities of life, people often think of food, water and traditional shelter. One doesn’t tend to think of ‘touch,’ despite the fact that we need physical human contact to thrive. Whether an embrace between friends, lovers or family members, very few acts can produce as immediate a feeling of connection as a hug. In the comfort and security of each other’s arms, we are able to say, without words and beyond all doubt, “I care.”
About the Artist
Talya Moshinsky is the president and creative director of Mos Marketing. Born and raised in Toronto, she enjoys giving ideas a visual representation and inspiring thought and emotion through her work. While her post-secondary education focused on design and mass communication, Talya has always been a student of fine arts — her love of painting began as soon as she could hold a brush. Her medium of choice is acrylics, often with subject matter leaning towards strong, fiery women. Her artwork appears in private collections.
