This work is titled Every Cloud has a Silver Lining and was created specifically for Design Hope 2007. The process includes kilncast, sandblasted, fused, slumped and painted glass. The metal stand was fabricated by Bill Falk.
About the Artist
Jayne Nixon has worked in various forms of glass for eighteen years. She first began at a stained glass studio in eastern Ontario. Once she moved to Winnipeg, she explored other glass processes such as fusing, painting, sandblasting, glassblowing and her real passion, cast glass. She has participated in many educational opportunities in Winnipeg, Toronto and Red Deer. Her work has been extensively exhibited locally and purchased by collectors globally. She continues to explore glass as well as other art forms and looks forward to subject specific and collaborative projects.
