About the Work
I draw inspiration from beauty and strength from all life. I especially see these qualities in the faces of women. I hope to convey this in my portraits.
About the Artist
Opal Dunbar-Adams was born in Montreal, Quebec and later moved to Ottawa, Ontario. She focused her talents first at the Ottawa School of Art and later gained new insights and experiences at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, exploring her passion for art through a variety of mediums. Being raised in a culturally and ethnically diverse family kindled a passion for both people and their interactions with themselves and their environments. She currently works from her home studio in Pickering, Ontario.
